LA Marathon: 25 Years!

As we are now within two months of the Los Angeles Marathon’s inaugural journey on the Stadium to Sea route, let’s take a moment to appreciate that this will be the 25th running of the event.  A silver anniversary always deserves some sort of commemoration.  Over the next two months, I’ll be posting a number of images and videos that celebrate the history of this storied race.  Here’s a interview with commentator Toni Reavis about the background leading up to the inaugural Los Angeles Marathon in 1986.

    Hello Tanya,

A good idea is to plan ahead. Reserve your parking space online: http://www.lamarathon.com/runner-info/parking/, once you reserve your spot the City of Santa Monica will email you the parking ticket and directions to the parking lot and from the lot to the shuttles. The shuttles will be from the Santa Monica Civic Parking Lot. Let me know if you have any additional questions: info@lamarathon.com

    Regards,
    Megan

Everyone have fun! This is it! All our training, up first thing with the birds, running in the fog, with a hat and gloves to start. This is it! Marathon weekend, boys and girls. Just enjoy it.
