2008 LOS ANGELES MARATHON
MEDIA CREDENTIALS REQUEST FORM

SPECIAL NOTE:  Once again this year’s Start Line is located at Lankershim and Cahuenga near Universal Studios.  All media who wish to cover the Start must check in at the Race Day Media Center at the Main Library in downtown Los Angeles no later than 6:15am and be bussed to the Start Line.  No Media will be allowed to enter the Start Line area without riding the bus and being escorted by a designated LA Marathon representative.  The bus will return to the Race Day Media Center immediately following the complete start of the Marathon.

CREDENTIAL POLICY: Media are required to complete this application form prior to Race Day.  Photo identification must be presented at the Media Center before credentials can be issued.  Due to space limitations and limited media access to restricted areas, special credentials must be obtained in advance and visible at all times. 

NO CREDENTIALS WILL BE ISSUED ON RACE DAY.  All credentials must be picked up at the Race Week Media Center on Friday, February 29 or Saturday, March 1.

RACE WEEK MEDIA CENTER:  Los Angeles Convention Center, Room 510.

RACE WEEK MEDIA CENTER HOURS:  Friday, February 29: 9am – 5pm;  and Saturday, March 1:  9am-3pm

RACE WEEK MEDIA CENTER/ LOUNGE:  Media are invited to use the working Media Center during race week.  Press credentials will be issued only from this location.  The media relations team will be on hand to schedule interviews with athletes and event organizers and to distribute comprehensive media guides, updated press info, news conference information and breaking news releases.

RACE DAY MEDIA CENTER:  Sunday, March 2, 6am – 3pm.  Central Library of Los Angeles, Mark Taper Auditorium, 630 W. 5th Street between Flower & Grand.  The Center will be equipped with a large screen monitor, smaller monitors, electrical outlets, telephones, fax machine and dedicated phone lines for modems.  Food and drink will be served.
