The Charity Relay is a 2-person relay that is exclusive to the Official Charity Partners.
The Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon offers a 2-person Charity Relay that is exclusive to Official Charity Partners. The Charity Relay is held within the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon where participants split the distance (12.9 and 13.3) to cover the entire 26.2 miles. Participants will receive the same support, participant shirt and goodie bag as those running the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon, along with a special medal, designed just for the Charity Relay!
CHARITY RELAY REGISTRATION
Below is a list of organizations who have available relay entries. Select an organization you would like to fundraise and run with and contact the person listed for directions on how to join that organization’s team and register for the 2-person charity relay! Remember these are 2-person teams, and you will need both people’s information to proceed with the registration process.
Note that these entries require a fundraising minimum, regardless of which organization you choose. Please do not contact an organization if you do not intend to fundraise.

RELAY EXCHANGE ZONE
The Relay Exchange Zone is located near the mid-point of the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon course on Sunset Blvd between Ogden Dr and Orange Grove Ave.
Leg 1: 12.9 miles
Leg 2: 13.3 miles
AT THE START
Leg 1 runners will start the race with the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon full field at 6:55 am at Dodger Stadium. There is not a separate start for the Charity Relay. Leg 1 runners are able to use any of the methods of getting to Dodger Stadium available to Marathon runners. Click Here for more information on getting to the Start.
Leg 2 runners must make their way to the Relay Exchange Zone on Sunset Blvd between Ogden Dr and Orange Grove Ave. Shuttles for Leg 2 runners will be available from in front of Santa Monica City Hall departing at 7:00 am and 7:30 am. Shuttle reservations are not required for Leg 2 runners. Note: there is no shuttle transportation from Downtown LA and Beverly Hills Official Hotels to the Relay Exchange Zone.
Leg 1 runners will be able to check gear at Dodger Stadium in Lot K. Runners should look for the Charity Relay truck. Leg 1 runners will be able to pick up gear at the Relay Exchange Zone.
Leg 2 runners will not be able to check gear. Runners will be able to give any gear to Leg 1 finishers to hold on the shuttle ride to Santa Monica while the Leg 2 runner is completing the course.
COMPLETING YOUR LEG
Leg 1 runners will complete their leg of the race at the Relay Exchange Zone. Once finished running, Leg 1 runners should turn left onto Orange Grove Ave to collect their Charity Relay Medal, mylar blanket, and post-race food and fluid. Leg 1 Runners that checked gear at Dodger Stadium will be able to collect gear at the corner of Orange Grove Ave and De Longpre Ave. Shuttles will also be staged on De Longpre Ave to take runners to Santa Monica. Note: there is no shuttle transportation back to Dodger Stadium.
Leg 2 runners will complete their leg at the Finish Line of the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon. Once finished, runners should continue through the Runner Secured Finish Zone to collect their Charity Relay medal, mylar blanket, and post-race food and fluid.
