One of the most affluent neighborhoods in California, Beverly Hills epitomizes the glitz and glamor of Southern California.

ASICS LA MARATHON: MILES 15, 16 & 17

Runners headed south on Doheny Dr. leave West Hollywood and venture into Beverly Hills where they make a right at Burton Way.  The picturesque street leads runners into Beverly Hills’ main shopping district, where runners will run down world-famous Rodeo Drive.

NEIGHBORHOOD HIGHLIGHTS

Beverly Hills is known worldwide as one of the most famous shopping destinations in the world.  Rodeo Drive is a collection of stores of the top designers in the world and draws millions of visitors from around the world each year.  With its location and notoriety as one of the most affluent communities in California, Beverly Hills has long been home to the Hollywood elite.

RODEO DRIVE

The world famous shopping district is known for its designer label and haute couture fashion.  The three street district is home to the most famous retailers in the world including Bulgari, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Tiffany & Co.

BEVERLY WILSHIRE HOTEL

The sprawling hotel, built in 1928, has a prime location at the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Rodeo Dr.  The hotel has been “home” to many celebrities including, Elvis Presley and John Lennon.  Amongst its many famous guests include the Dalai Lama, President Barack Obama, and the Emperor of Japan Hirohito.  The hotel has gained notoriety through popular culture, particulary with its prominence in the movie Pretty Woman.
