LA 5K

The LA 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, March 19, 2011, in conjunction with the 26th Honda LA Marathon. The LA 5K will serve as the official warm up race to Sunday’s Honda LA Marathon. Starting at the official marathon starting line, an estimated 4500 people will start the 3.1 mile LA 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 a.m. Registrations for the 5K Run/Walk are accepted online through March 11, 2011. Late registration for the 5K takes place at the LA Marathon Expo, Friday 18, 2011 at Dodger Stadium and the morning of the event starting at 6:30 am. Free parking will be available for all participants in Lot K at Dodger Stadium. Participants will be able to enter Dodger Stadium via the Sunset Gate off of Sunset Blvd. and Elysian Park Dr. or the Downtown Gate from the 110 Freeway. The Golden State Gate (access from the 5 freeway) will not be open during this time.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
The following directions are the only access routes to Dodger Stadium due to street closures for the NPN LA 5K.
Long Beach/South Bay/Orange County (Via 405):
405 Freeway north, to 110 freeway Northbound (toward Pasadena). Take the Dodger Stadium Exit. Continue straight off the freeway ramp. Enter the DOWNTOWN GATE.
Pasadena:
Take the 110 Freeway Southbound. Take the Dodger Stadium Exit. Continue straight off the freeway ramp. Enter the DOWNTOWN GATE.
Santa Monica/Westside:
Take the 10 Freeway Eastbound (toward Los Angeles). Merge onto the 110 Freeway North (toward Pasadena). Take the Dodger Stadium Exit. Continue straight off the freeway ramp. Enter the DOWNTOWN GATE.
San Bernardino/East Side:
Take the 10 Freeway Westbound to the 110 Freeway North. Take the 110 Freeway Northbound. Take the Dodger Stadium Exit. Continue straight off the freeway ramp. Enter the DOWNTOWN GATE. NOTE: DO NOT TAKE THE STADIUM WAY EXIT AS STADIUM WAY WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE 5K ROUTE
San Fernando Valley, Burbank, Glendale or Pasadena:

San Gabriel Valley via the 10 Freeway Westbound:
Take the 10 Freeway Westbound to the 110 Freeway North. Take the 110 Freeway Northbound. Take the Dodger Stadium Exit. Continue straight off the freeway ramp. Enter the DOWNTOWN GATE. NOTE: DO NOT TAKE THE STADIUM WAY EXIT AS STADIUM WAY WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE 5K ROUTE
Hollywood:
Take the 101 Freeway southbound to the 110 Freeway north. Take the 110 Freeway Northbound. Take the Dodger Stadium Exit. Continue straight off the freeway ramp. Enter the DOWNTOWN GATE. NOTE: DO NOT TAKE THE STADIUM WAY EXIT AS STADIUM WAY WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE 5K ROUTE
Take the 101 Freeway Southbound. Take the Alvarado Street exit. Turn Left onto Alvarado Street. Turn Right onto Sunset Boulevard. Go approximately one mile and turn Left onto Elysian Park Avenue. Enter the SUNSET GATE.
Areas West of the Stadium via Surface Streets
Go East on Sunset Boulevard. Turn Left onto Elysian Park Avenue. Enter the SUNSET GATE.
101 Freeway Northbound
Take the Grand Avenue Exit. Turn Right onto Grand Avenue. Turn Right onto Temple Street and make a Right onto Figueroa Street. Turn Left onto Sunset Boulevard. Turn Right onto Elysian Park Avenue. Enter the SUNSET GATE.
