Cheer Alley

Line the course with hundreds of fellow cheerleaders as you motivate thousands of runners on their way to finish the Honda LA Marathon along the 26.2 mile Stadium to the Sea course.

CHEER ALLEY

As runners leave Beverly Hills and head toward Mile 18, they will be greeted by hundreds of local cheerleaders making noise to encourage runners get to the finish line of the Honda LA Marathon. Cheer Alley is the Pep-Rally of the year, and is comprised of Middle and High School cheerleaders from Southern California. The Honda LA Marathon will also host a cheer competition for Cheer Alley participants.

CHEER COMPETITION

The Honda LA Marathon will host a cheer competition for participating squads of Cheer Alley.  The competition is open to teams of all ages and levels.  A $2,500 prize purse will be awarded to the top 3 participating squads:

1st place – $1,250
2nd place – $750
3rd place – $500

Squads will be judged on overall spirit, creativity, showmanship, uniform, and banner display.  There is no entry fee for the competition.  In addition to serving the community, each member of all participating squads will be rewarded with LA Marathon Cheer Alley T-Shirt and a special gift.

The application deadline to be a part of Cheer Alley in 2012 has closed.  If you are interested in being a part of Cheer Alley for the 2013 Honda LA Marathon, please send an email to tiffany.lamarathon@gmail.com with the subject line: Cheer Alley Interest 2013, and include your name, school name, email address, and phone number.  You will be sent the cheer application when it becomes available in early 2013.
