WATER STATIONS
There are fully-staffed water stations at each mile featuring bottled water. Sports Drink Stations are located at every odd number mile beginning at Mile 3. At the Water Stations featuring both products, sports drink tables will be first, followed by water.

Medical Support
There is medical support at both the Start and Finish Lines and along the course. Medical vans are staged at miles 6, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24. Medical tents are located at the Finish Line and in the Post Food & Fluid Area on Ocean Ave in Santa Monica, as well as inside the Finish Line Beach Party. A massage tent is also located inside the secure finishers area. All treatment will be provided by licensed professionals including physicians, nurses, therapists and medical trainers.
Restrooms
There are portable restrooms located at the start, along the entire course just past each water station and at the Finish Line.
Down Runners
For runners unable to finish the course, Down Drop Runner vans will be available at various water stations from miles 7-23. These vans will provide runners adequate transportation back to the central drop area on Colorado and 2nd Streets, which is approximately four blocks from the Finish area. Runners who have dropped out of the race may not cross the Finish Line as they will be disqualified.
Emerald Final Five
From Mile 21.2 and beyond, the Emerald Nuts Final Five will power your journey to the finish line. At each station, cheer squads, heart-pumping music, and nutritious snacks will propel you towards your ultimate goal with a boost of energy your body and spirit needs to break through the wall!
Entertainment Centers
In addition to the cheering spectators, you can get a morale boast from the Marathon’s trademark course entertainment. Four City Block Parties and dozens of entertainment centers are located throughout the course to invigorate your pace and keep you moving to the finish line.
