The Skechers Performance LA Marathon Ambassadors are a group of specially selected individuals that are actively engaged in their communities and have a passion for running. Meet the 2016-17 Skechers Performance LA Marathon Ambassadors below!

Brett Copeland

Brett Copeland is originally from Suffolk, VA and moved to Southern California after serving nearly 15 years in the Air Force. He began taking running seriously in 2011 after a failed fitness test and as a distraction while giving up smoking. Since then, he has completed 5 marathons, 22 half marathons, and dozens of races at shorter distances. He is also a connoisseur of craft beer, especially after a good workout. When not out running, you will probably find him at one of the many craft breweries in the Greater Los Angeles area. Brett is extremely excited to represent the Conqur Endurance brand and all of their events, especially since the Los Angeles Marathon is one of his favorite races.

Haley Kahn

Smitha hated running in high school, even as a long jump and triple jumper on her track team. She did not pick up running again until 2013 at the age of 35 in an effort to get her pre-baby body back. She has run 17 half marathons and plans to do 2 more by the end of 2016. She has also run 3 full marathons and will do 2 more by Summer 2017, with the LA Marathon being her favorite of course! Smitha is a mom, wife, and works full time. In her spare time, she loves to read, cook, drink wine with her friends, lemonade with her kids, and beer with her husband.

Jenny Bradley

Carlee is a wife, daughter, sister, friend, Michigan/Detroit sports fan, vegetarian, dog owner, change maker, sunshine lover, world wanderer, and RUNNER! She caught the running bug while training for her first half marathon, the Disneyland Half in 2012, and hasn't stopped since. Although Carlee is a serious runner (currently attempting to qualify for the Boston Marathon), she never wants to outrun her love of running. You can often find Carlee rocking all the bright colors or an elaborate homemade costume - which helps to remind her to never take running too seriously. When not running, Carlee loves to go on adventures with her hubby and wiener dog (they are even looking into moving into a van and traveling the country).

Ivie Hasegawa

Ivie started her running journey in efforts to get healthy and lose weight. Little did she know she would find something she would fall in love with and a community of people she couldn't live without. What started with 5ks turned into half marathons and now marathons! Down 70 pounds and over a dozen marathons later, Ivie says that the LA Marathon is by far her favorite race. Even after living in Southern California for almost 10 years, the course, the landmarks, and the ocean still make her excited and help fuel the run.

Jessica Bashaw

Tim Christoni's 1st marathon was the 2004 Los Angeles Marathon, where he finished in 6 hours and 12 minutes. Since then, Tim has gone on to compete in many more races, including the 2014 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon, where he finished in under 3 hours, Ironman events, a 50K, a 50 mile race, and even 100 mile trail races. Tim enjoys training with friends, going on traveling and racing adventures with his wife Helen, and leading an awesome team of associates at work in his professional life.

Linzie Starr

Linzie discovered his love for running by accident. In an effort to want to live a healthier lifestyle, he began jogging in 2011. He ran his first half marathon in May 2012. Fast forward, to date Linzie has run more than 50 half marathons and more than 25 half marathons including Boston, Chicago, New York City, and four Los Angeles Marathons. Linzie is the blogger and social media guru at SharpEndurance.com and has built solid relationships throughout the running community. This is Linzie's third year as an ambassador for the Conqur Endurance Group and his second year as Captain of the team. He enjoys Disney, traveling, snacks, and spending time with his closest friends when he isn't running for the love of it. The Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon is his favorite marathon.

Wes Parsel

Jenny, or you might know her as Runnylegs, has been endurance running for about 5 years now and is a newbie ultra runner. Her husband & her travel a lot, almost always for a race or to do some sort of running, and they alternate between road & trail to keep things interesting. The 2017 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon will be her 14th Marathon.

Miriam Macias

Miriam loves to run just like every runner out there. Los Angeles holds a very special place in her heart because she was born and raised there. At the age of 10, her only dream was to run the Los Angeles Marathon and in 2014 her dream came true. Ever since she started training for her first marathon in 2014, she started a running club at her university. Miriam enjoys to share and prove to others that running can be fun and anyone can do it too.

Tony Orozco

Born and raised in Southern California, Tony was never big enough for team sports so running helped keep him off the troubled streets. He's run many race distances, ranging from a 5k to obstacle course races and even up to an ultra marathon. He began racing six years ago and continues to strive to be the most elite version of himself possible. This is his third year as a Conqur Endurance Group Ambassador and looks forward to running his favorite race through his hometown; The Sketchers Perfomance Los Angeles Marathon. Tony is inspired by people who are determined to reach their goals. He runs to reach his goals and hopes to inspire others to reach theirs.

Emelia Cellura

Emelia lives in Los Gatos, CA. She discovered a love for running after setting out to run just one half marathon. She has since ran over 75 half and full marathons. She shares her passion for running on her blog Half Crazy Mama. The Los Angeles Marathon remains one of her favorite races, and Emelia loves helping to motivate and inspire others to go after their goals!

Julia Patkowski

Julia Patkowski ran her first marathon in 2010 on the Stadium to Sea Los Angeles Marathon course and has been hooked ever since. Julia is a former downhill ski racer, track athlete, marathoner, and fitness instructor. Even though she grew up in four countries and three states she is happy to call California home and can usually be found running the strand in Santa Monica - wave if you run by!

Kristol Clyde

Kris is very excited to join the Conqur Endurance Group Ambassador team. The love and support she has received over the years has given her a new found strength. She found the strength to go back to school and finish her degree. Running allowed her to believe in herself even at times when it does not come easy. She hopes to inspire others, especially first time runners to take more strides in their life and achieve whatever goals they have.

Mark Casas

Erica began running so she could simply cross "complete a marathon" off her bucket list. She thought she would only do it once and then be done. That was in 2012 and nine marathons ago. Erica has continued because before that first marathon her dad challenged her to qualify for Boston. She is now chasing down that goal literally. The Los Angeles Marathon is one of her favorite courses and she can't wait to run it for the third year in a row! Erica is excited to be joining the Conqur Endurance Ambassador team and hopes to see many familiar faces at the Pasadena Half Marathon and Los Angeles Marathon this year!

Katie McFarland

A former college athlete, turned running mom of two, turned ironman. Katie has completed over 50 half marathons, two full marathons and one 70.3 distance. As a full time working mom, running helps her stay active, and pushing to achieve goals. Katie is looking forward to training, achieving and sharing the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon with all 25,000 runners!
