Thank you for signing up to volunteer at the 2016 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon! With the marathon just days away, we hope you are as excited as we are to help over 25,000 participants as they run the Stadium to the Sea course - 26.2 miles from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica and LA Big 5k!

IMPORTANT: Group members that register to volunteer are committing to showing up at the event. If 5 or more volunteers from a group do not show up (or they are not replaced), the group will not be allowed to participate in future events. We rely on the help of volunteers to make these events safe and running smoothly.

We have increased security measures at the Start and Finish. Anyone bringing in a bag will be searched. We encourage volunteers to leave bags at home or in your car as to expedite the lines getting through security. Backpacks will not be allowed.
What to wear:
Please check the weather forecast as we get closer to race day and dress accordingly. As of Monday, February 8th, it looks like it will be in the mid 80s and sunny race weekend. Wear a hat and sunblock! All registered volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt upon checking in to their first shift. Please dress comfortably and wear closed toed athletic shoes.
EXPO volunteers - Friday and Saturday, February 12 and 13
Volunteer parking is provided free only at the L.A. Live West Garage Lot W, Gate G located at 1015 S. Georgia St., Los Angeles (NOT the LACC South Hall Parking). Note, Chick Hearn will be closed. You will need to print your assignment or confirmation email in order to receive a parking pass at the entrance. It is acceptable to show this information from your phone.
LA Big 5k Volunteers- Saturday, February 13th
Water Station volunteers – Sunday, February 14th
Meet your water station captain at the water station location you are assigned, you do not need to come to the expo or volunteer check in at the start or finish. You will receive a volunteer t-shirt upon checking in.
Parking: Unfortunately, we are not able to provide parking. Reach out to your water station captain to see if they have any suggestions. Please read all street signs before parking.
Start Area volunteers – Sunday, February 14th
- Volunteer Assignments: Start Line Seeded Corral, Information/ Participant Services, Start Line Food & Water, Clothing Check In, Volunteer Check in @ Start
Finish Line Area volunteers - Sunday, February 14th
- Volunteer Assignments: Finish Line, Post Finish Food & Fluids, Late PF&F, Volunteer Check in, Participant Services, Clothing Check Out, Elite tent, Hot Walkers
Unless otherwise noted by your coordinator, you will receive your t-shirt upon checking in at the Volunteer Check in tent near the Finish Line. The Volunteer Check in tent is located on Ocean Ave, just north of Arizona, on the west side of the street. Print your assignment and bring it with you to access the volunteer parking lot and finish line secure zone. It is acceptable to show this information from your phone.
