Is there a time limit to complete the Marathon?
Yes. The 6 hour, 30 minute time limit means race officials will reopen streets to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis at a 15:00 per mile pace from the time the last runner crosses the start line. Participants still on the course at this time will be required to move to the sidewalks and obey all traffic signals. Runners and walkers who fall behind the 6:30:59 pace will be allowed to finish the race, but will not be guaranteed a finishing time.

Why did the 2014 race date move up one week earlier than usual?
The 2014 date change is the result of a city-wide conference being held the third weekend of March which would have affected the race logistically.  It is our number one priority to provide a world-class marathon experience and this adjustment was made to keep the focus on marathon weekend in the cities of Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.
