- What is the date of the marathon?

Wheelchairs – 6:55AM, Hand cycles – 7:00AM, All other participants – 7:24AM - Where does the race start and finish?
The race starts at Dodger Stadium, 1000 Elysian Park Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90012. The race ends on Ocean Avenue at the intersection of Ocean Ave and California Avenue in Santa Monica. - The Marathon course is point to point. What’s the best way to get to the start?

Yes. If you want to store anything, our Gear Check area is located in Lot K at Dodger Stadium. All gear checked at the Stadium will be transported to the Finish Line Festival for pick up post-race. Due to heightened security reasons we will only accept clear plastic bags of runners’ belongings. Non-transparent bags or back packs will not be accepted. Please use the bag provided at the Expo with your name and bib # attached. Do not leave anything valuable or fragile in your bag as we are not liable for its loss or damage. PLEASE NOTE: Gear Check will be closing at 6:45am on race day. After this time your belongings will no longer be accepted to allow ample time for the PODS trucks to travel to Santa Monica. - Is the Honda LA Marathon walker-friendly?
The Honda LA Marathon is open to all participants who wish to register; however, the streets reopen to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis, at approximately a 15-minute per mile pace. Walkers are asked to start near the end of the pack to avoid being crowded or bumped by the faster participants. - Is there a time limit to complete the Marathon?
Yes. Streets reopen to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis approximately a 15-minute per mile pace. Participants still on the course at this time will be required to move to the sidewalks and obey all traffic signals. The Finish Line will close 8 hours after the start of the race.Please note that participants who cross the Marathon Finish Line after 8:00:00 will not be recognized as Official Finishers and are not guaranteed a medal or a finishing time. - Do all participants receive finisher medals?
All “Official Finishers” of the Honda LA Marathon and LA Big 5K will receive medals upon completion of the race. Please note that participants who cross the Marathon Finish Line after 8:00:00 will not be recognized as Official Finishers and are not guaranteed a medal or a finishing time. - Will you be mailing out finisher certificates?
Your Marathon finish time will be posted on our website after the race and you will receive an email message the evening after the race with your results. Official results and an Electronic Finisher Certificate will be emailed to all finishers 30 days after the race. - How will my time be recorded?
The 2012 Honda LA Marathon will be using the Chronotrack B-Tag timing system. Your timing chip will be attached to the back of your bib and you need not remove the chip from the bib. You must wear your bib on the front of your shirt to receive your official time. - Are wheelchair participants permitted?
Yes, there is a separate wheelchair division.
