- What time does the race start?
Handcyles – 6:50AM

- Where does the race start and finish?
The race starts at Dodger Stadium, 1000 Elysian Park Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90012. The race ends on Ocean Avenue at the intersection of Ocean Ave and California Avenue in Santa Monica.
- The Marathon course is point to point. What’s the best way to get to the start?

- Will you have gear check?
Gear Check is located in Lot K at Dodger Stadium. All gear checked at the Start Line will be transported to the Finish Line for pick up post-race. Due to heightened security reasons, you must use the clear plastic bag provided at the Expo for Gear Check. Non-transparent bags, back packs, or luggage will not be accepted. Do not check anything valuable or fragile in your bag as the ASICS LA Marathon is not liable for any loss or damage. PLEASE NOTE: Gear Check at Dodger Stadium will be closing at 6:45am.
- Is the ASICS LA Marathon walker-friendly?
The ASICS LA Marathon is open to all participants who wish to register; however, the streets reopen to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis, at approximately a 14:30 minute per mile pace. Walkers are asked to start near the end of the pack to avoid being crowded or bumped by the faster participants. The Finish Line will close 8 hours after the start of the race.
- Is there a time limit to complete the Marathon?
Yes. Streets reopen to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis approximately a 14:30 minute per mile pace. Participants still on the course at this time will be required to move to the sidewalks and obey all traffic signals. The Finish Line will close 8 hours after the start of the race. Please note that participants who cross the Marathon Finish Line after 8:00:00 are not guaranteed to be recognized as Official Finishers and are not guaranteed a medal or a finishing time.
- Do all participants receive finisher medals?
All “Official Finishers” of the ASICS LA Marathon and LA Big 5K will receive medals upon completion of the race. Please note that participants who cross the Marathon Finish Line after 8:00:00 are not guaranteed to be recognized as Official Finishers and are not guaranteed a medal or a finishing time.
- How will my time be recorded?
The 2014 ASICS LA Marathon will be using the Chronotrack B-Tag timing system. Your timing chip will be attached to the back of your bib and you need not remove the chip from the bib. You must wear your bib on the front of your shirt to receive your official time.
