REGISTRATION

• When is the 2012 Honda LA Marathon and when does registration open?
  The 2012 Honda LA Marathon will be held Sunday, March 18.  Registration will open August 1, 2011.
• How much does it cost to register?
  Entry fees to the 2012 race will be $145.  Please note the price increase on January 16, 2012.  For complete pricing, Click Here.
• Is there a race capacity for the Honda LA Marathon?
  Yes, the registration cap will be announced shortly.  Please check back for details.
• Do I need a qualifying time to enter the Honda LA Marathon?
  No, you do not need to qualify for the Honda LA Marathon.  The Honda LA Marathon is open to all participants.  We do have Seeded Start Corrals for qualified participants.  For more information on our Seeded Start Corrals, and for instruction on how to submit proof of qualifications, Click Here.
• How can I confirm my registration after I sign up online or mail in my registration form?
  You can confirm your entry by going to our Registration Confirmation Link. Enter your first and last name to confirm your entry and Start Corral assignment.  We will send all registered participants who enter an email address a Confirmation Email with their bib # in early March.  If you do not provide us with an email address, simply bring your photo ID to the Expo and you will be able to look up your bib # when you arrive.  We DO NOT mail out confirmation cards.
• How can I make a change to my registration information (i.e. misspelling, address, e-mail, T-shirt size)?
  E-mail registration@lamarathon.com with “Change of Information” in the subject line or call the Honda LA Marathon office at 213-542-3000 and a member of our staff will assist you.
• I didn’t receive/deleted a payment confirmation e-mail after I registered. Can you resend it to me?
  If you tried to register online but did not receive/deleted an e-mail confirming your payment, you need to do three things: 1) Check your current credit card/bank statement to see if you were charged the registration fee; 2) Check your spam and/or junk-mail folders to make sure the payment confirmation e-mail did not go into of those, and check your email settings to make sure you allow e-mails from “Active.com”; and 3) Contact Active.com at 877-228-4881 to talk with one of their customer service representatives. Please note that we cannot resend payment confirmation e-mails once they have already been sent.
• I am injured and/or cannot run the event (family commitment, work obligation, etc.). Can I get a refund, donate my entry or transfer my entry to someone else?
  No. Per our official event rules and guidelines: Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bib is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events. All entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be deferred toward a future event.
• If I provide medical documentation of my injury or pregnancy, will you give me a refund?
  No.  Please refer to our official event rules and guidelines.
• Can I defer my entry to next year if I am unable to run this year?
  No, participants cannot defer their entries to the next year in the event they are unable to run.
• Is there an age requirement to run the LA Big 5K or Marathon?
  No.
• Is there group registration?
  We do not offer group registration.
• Can I run the Honda LA Marathon without registering?
  No, all runners without Honda LA Marathon bibs will be directed off the course immediately.
