Introducing the ChronoTrack B-Tag™
The 2010 Honda LA Marathon presented by K-Swiss will be using the new ChronoTrack B-Tag timing system. Since the introduction of transponder timing, the running world has been waiting for the ability to reliably time runners using a timing device mounted on the bib.
Over the last year, runners and race directors alike have come to rely on the ChronoTrack Systems disposable D-Tag to time their races with convenience and ease, thanks to the revolutionary RFID technology.ChronoTrack engineers, having continued their pioneering work in UHF timing systems, are pleased to announce the arrival of the most anticipated technology in race timing history: the B-Tag.
The ChronoTrack B-Tag is a disposable UHF RFID tag that stays mounted on the runner’s bib. Requiring no additional application by the athlete, nor any additional instructional support from race directors, the B-Tag has been specially engineered to remain compatible with all existing ChronoTrack Systems equipment, including timing lines, software, and tag printers. In keeping with ChronoTrack tradition, B-Tags are recyclable or landfill safe, and they do not require post-race collection. Never pay lost timing device fees again!
ChronoTrack has successfully tested this new tag at numerous races throughout 2009. Pricing and availability will be posted soon. ChronoTrack will demo the B-Tag and other new cutting-edge technologies at their annual Users Conference in January 2010.
