We're on a mission to unite the running community in LA

Our unique partnership with established running groups delivers affordable, local, certified and vetted training programs to athletes of all abilities.

Training will be offered by the following groups at their current locations:

Pasadena Pacers

Our free, friendly training has helped runners cross the marathon finish line for more than 20 years. We’re a non-profit, all-volunteer organization with a certified coaching staff. Come just as you are—out of shape or super fit—you’ll fit right in. Wear your running shoes and bring a water bottle. No running experience, no money required. Friendly smiles always appreciated.

BlacklistLA

Founded in 2013, BlacklistLA Run Organization aims to connect people through community, art and running. Together with a team of volunteers, BlacklistLA provides a safe, energetic environment that empowers people to discover the great city of Los Angeles in ways never done before. BlacklistLA is intent on making Los Angeles a better place.

AREC Long Beach

A Running Experience Club (AREC) provides a safe and fun environment for athletes of all ages and abilities, from beginners just wanting to get into the game and learn… to veteran runners looking to improve and find training partners. We deliver experienced leadership, sound advice, motivation and mental preparation to get you started and keep you moving in the right direction. We make a healthy lifestyle fun!

South Bay Runners Club

The South Bay Runners Club (SBRC) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that unites runners and walkers in Southern California. We offer year round training including distance runs, an interval training track workout, recreational and travel activities, and social gatherings. We are dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and enduring friendships in the South Bay Communities.

Our 5 Certified Coaches are volunteers who advise on proper training techniques for improved performance. Whether you are trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon or simply improve your performance, we have a training plan for you.

Do I have to sign up with these individual groups to train with them?

In most cases, no. Simply research the groups with the links provided above and contact the group if necessary. In most cases, you can simply show up to their organized group runs.

What perks will I receive if I join a partner training program?

Each group operates differently and independent of LA Road Runners and the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon, however, the LA Road Runners will organize community events designed to unite all runners in LA.
