We're on a mission to unite the running community in LA.

Our unique partnership with established running groups delivers affordable, local, certified and vetted training programs to athletes of all abilities.

Training will be offered by the following groups at their current locations:

AREC Long Beach

A Running Experience Club (AREC) provides a safe and fun environment for athletes of all ages and abilities, from beginners just wanting to get into the game and learn… to veteran runners looking to improve and find training partners. We deliver experienced leadership, sound advice, motivation and mental preparation to get you started and keep you moving in the right direction. We make a healthy lifestyle fun!

BlacklistLA

Founded in 2013, BlacklistLA Run Organization aims to connect people through community, art and running. Together with a team of volunteers, BlacklistLA provides a safe, energetic environment that empowers people to discover the great city of Los Angeles in ways never done before. BlacklistLA is intent on making Los Angeles a better place.

LA Leggers

For 30 years, the L.A. LEGGERS has trained hundreds of recreational athletes of all fitness levels to complete the Los Angeles Marathon. Based in Santa Monica, the club is an all-volunteer, nonprofit running and walking club that prepares people to complete races of all distances, including half marathons, marathons, and beyond. Along the way, many form deep friendships and build a powerful sense of community. Email them at [email protected].

Los Angeles Running Club (LARC)

The Los Angeles Running Club (LARC) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that unites runners and walkers in Southern California. In addition to competing in numerous races, we offer year-round training runs, an interval training track night, recreational and travel activities, and social gatherings. We’re dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and enduring friendships.

Pasadena Pacers

Our free, friendly training has helped runners cross the marathon finish line for more than 20 years. We’re a non-profit, all-volunteer organization with a certified coaching staff. Come just as you are—out of shape or super fit—you’ll fit right in. Wear your running shoes and bring a water bottle. No running experience, no money required. Friendly smiles always appreciated.

RunnersPlus - Mexico

RunnersPlus is a non-profit running group in Mexico City where members meet other people who share interest, experiences and provide answers to questions about running, fitness, health, nutrition, etc to became a much better runner. RunnersPlus mission is to Develop the "inner runner" and help with training to experience the beauty of the Marathon. RunnersPlus offer 52 weekends of conducted training and provide access to their running training plans.

They are the first international running group affiliated with the Los Angeles Marathon.

South Bay Runners Club

The South Bay Runners Club (SBRC) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that unites runners and walkers in Southern California. We offer year round training including distance runs, an interval training track workout, recreational and travel activities, and social gatherings. We are dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and enduring friendships in the South Bay Communities.

Our 5 Certified Coaches are volunteers who advise on proper training techniques for improved performance. Whether you are trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon or simply improve your performance, we have a training plan for you.

Do I have to sign up with these individual groups to train with them?

In most cases, no. Simply research the groups with the links provided above and contact the group if necessary. In most cases, you can simply show up to their organized group runs.

What perks will I receive if I join a partner training program?

Each group operates differently and independent of LA Road Runners and the Los Angeles Marathon, however, the LA Road Runners will organize community events designed to unite all runners in LA.
